What PayoutCheck provides
PayoutCheck reads a settlement or payout file you upload and produces an analysis of it: a reconciliation from gross sales to net payout, and a set of findings about anything in the file that looks inconsistent.
Every figure is computed from your file. PayoutCheck does not connect to your platform account, does not hold funds, and does not act on your behalf with anyone.
What it is not
PayoutCheck is not accounting advice, not legal advice, not tax advice, and not an audit in the regulated sense of that word. It does not certify your accounts and it is not a substitute for an accountant.
A finding is a place to look. It is not a determination that you were overcharged, and it is not evidence that a platform did anything wrong. Several checks deliberately report that a question cannot be settled from the file supplied, and those are results rather than failures.
Your file
You keep ownership of anything you upload. By uploading you confirm you are entitled to do so, and you grant permission to process the file to produce your audit, and to keep the small record of it that the data retention policy describes.
The analysis is only as good as the file. An export that was edited in a spreadsheet, truncated during download, or is not one of the supported formats will produce either a refusal or a report that says what it could not establish.
Your uploaded file is deleted within 25 hours of the audit finishing. A free check, including its results, is deleted within 25 hours. A paid report is kept 3 days after payment, and a report opened with a 3-Month Pass until the pass ends, and at least 3 days. Download the PDF or CSV of any report you want to keep. You can delete any audit sooner yourself. Backups can still hold a copy for a limited time; the data retention policy explains how long.
Payment and refunds
The audit is free and runs on your real file before you are asked for anything. The full report is a one-time purchase for one settlement file. Our payment provider is the merchant of record and handles the transaction, including any sales tax or VAT due where you are. We never see your card.
The 3-Month Pass is also a one-time purchase. It opens the full report on up to five audits per UTC calendar day for ninety days from the day you buy it. Unused days do not accumulate. It does not renew, nothing is charged again when it ends, and there is nothing to cancel.
Fair use. A pass is for one business and its own payout files. It is not for resale, not for running reports on behalf of other businesses as a service, and not a licence for a bookkeeping or accountancy practice to use across its clients. If that is what you need, write to the address below and we will sort something out rather than have you work around this. A pass code is a credential: sharing it means sharing your own daily allowance, and we may end a pass that is being used outside this clause.
Because the report is delivered immediately and in full, it is not generally refundable once opened. If a report is wrong, does not open, or does not match the file you uploaded, write to the address below and you will be refunded.
Availability
This is a small product. It is maintained carefully but offered as it is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability, and platforms change their export formats without notice. Where a file cannot be read, PayoutCheck says so rather than guessing.
